Offered for sale is an antique Japanese Sumida Gawa pottery pitcher or mug. The colorful matte and glazed pottery features a man wrapped in cloth with hands clasped. The back side has a small signed shield.

The pitcher is 4 1/4 inches high, 5 inches from end of handle to the edge of the spout. The base is approximately 3 inches in diameter.

The pottery is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is paint loss to the matte finish but it does not detract from the overall charm of the piece.
