Antique Japanese Bronze Crane Turtle Statue Candle Holder For Sale

Antique Japanese bronze crane standing on a turtle statue to hold a candle or taper.

Beautifully modelled and very impressive, the turtle is from a fable and has stood still so long that weeds are growing from its shell. The turtle holds a lily frond in its beak.

The detailing of individual feathers and plumage id just stunning.

Nicely patinated, very old and in really great condition.

Itmeasures an impressive 10 1/2" tall (26.7)

I'm listing a small collection of orientalpieces and vestas over the next couple of days.

Low start, . Please take a look at my other items, thank you and good luck.
