This truly unique miniature cloisonné wine ewer isexquisitely decorated with natural scenes including a bird in flight, floraldecoration including wisteria and small butterflies. The wine ewer is 5 ½inches tall and 4 inches wide including the spout and the handle. The piece isdecorated with small round circles on the spout and handle. The decoration isincredible. We have been told that this type of decoration is consistent withthe Kodenji School. The piece has bronze mounts. It is unsigned. It dates tothe late 19thcentury from the Meiji period. The piece is invery good condition. The only issue is some enamel loss around the finial.
