Beautiful presentation cane .Very rare ,with pristine blank engraving shield . All hand chased .The handle is from a parasol ,remounted to an old shaft .. The cane is 34 + inches long .Absolutely beautiful ,the photos do not do this justice . The handle is pretty much s pristine but for a few microscopic dings.Some scratches at base of handle where it goes into the shaft . and is rolled gold plate . . The shaft ebonized hard wood and about as new ,still shiny .The great replacement brass ferrule has scratches .No cracks or any other problems . Walked very little then put away for 130 years and never abused . This can be used for a reasonable amount of weight .This is a one of a kind cane with no gold wear and can be used or any amount of weight as this cane is sturdy . Great present for the most discriminating cane collector or an even better present to yourself .
