This box has the hallmarks O C 1872

I tried tolook these marks up on line. They are from Warsaw and the maker is Josef Sosnikowski

According to what I could find, he worked from 1869 to 1896

The hallmarks show that this is silver and it is soft but I can\'t be sure if this is fine or sterling silver so, I won\'t claim either way...except to say that it is silver according to the marks.

I couldn\'t find marks for Poland but these did show up under antique Russian Silver Marks
