Antique Kashmir Paisley Shawl - hand sewn from the 19th Century

This shawl is a genuinehand-sewn Kashmir PaisleyShawl all sewn by needle work from the 1800\'s.The shawl has the most intricate beautiful design with a vibrant multi-colored border.

The measurement of this shawl is 72\" X 72\". The entire shawl is totally covered with hand embroidery. The pictures of the back show the amount of work that went into making this masterpiece. As with all shawls of this age the center black area is left blankand as this area is not stitched it tends to be subject to weakness. This shawl is in need of repair to the center and is a great project for an experienced craft\'s person who knows how to do this simple restoration. The rest of the shawl is in great condition, there is a small hole which is visible in Picture #1. There is no color fading.

This shawl is Museum Quality and is a great investment! It\'s value is between $2,000-$3,000, but because the center (black area) needs to repaired, I am selling it at this great discount.

This shawl is all original and a wonderful example of this historic art form.
