  This is a large Royal Doulton toby jug called \'The Standing Man\'.









This is Style One of this smiling face toby that was designed by Harry Simeon and issued in 1925.

 

 

 

 

 

The toby has a glass in one hand and a bottle in the other and he sports an orange waistcoat with white buttons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 On the base is the Royal Doulton mark with the impressed number 8572.  









It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and a couple of tiny manufacturing flaws on his hat.
