A very special, exquisite late 1800\'s antique wedding dress....purchased at an estate sale. Incredible lacework and craftsmanship, a really treasure for any antique lace or vintage clothing collector. Dress is many layers of sheer fabric and is a mix of antique netting, lace and embroidered netting. On bodice, dress has lovely lace details in center and up the sides of the bust. Dress has snap closures along the side and shoulder. Must have been replaced at some time.
Size: from armpit to armpit is 17\" across. Waist is 26\". Shoulder to hem is 41\". Sleeves are 24\" long. There is a crossover lace collar, rope cording at waist. There is an apron-like flap on the front and back. The underskirt of this has horizontal layered pleats. I only see one hole in the dress it is quite small and at the upper arm near the shoulder.
Under the dress is a long separate petticoat/train. It measures 40\" in the front and 72\" in the back. Waist 24\". This part of the dress is in not so good condition. Several tiny holes and stains. Fabric resembles a stiff cheesecloth. I do not know what the fabric is.
Also included are a pair of perfect crochet gloves which have a cloth button for closing.
There are two lace, pearls rosettes and ribbon veils. Discoloring from age as you can see from photos.
With this estate in the same box were five childrens vintage undergarments which I am including in this sale.
Whether as a rework project for a skilled seamstress, or simply to hang on a whitewashed wall and admire (it\'s that dreamy!) this piece is truly a stunner! SOLD AS IS, see condition notes.

Fair vintage condition, but for being over 100 years old, it\'s definitely holding up- although it is very fragile!
