Nice carved bird ( Cardinal, Blue Jay) Black Forest Germany box. Late 1800s. Souvenir of Villars Sur Ollon, Switzerland. Has pink silk lining, little dirty.
Beak of bird is chipped on tip. 3rd photo.
Nails holding clasp on are newer.
I found a key to fit the lock and filed it to work.Really nice antique used condition!
