Unique solid cherry enema/syringe storage box. Box is constructed using finger joints and solid cherry sides and top are 3/16\" thick. Bottom is 3/32\" thick poplar. Dimensions are 8 3/4\" long x 3 1/2\" deep x 2 5/8\" tall. All solid brass hardware is original. Has the original white paper liner and label. Label states the box contained the \"The Empress #9\" and was made of the \"Finest Material and Workmanship\". The number \"2872\" also appears on the label. Catch on front has a piece missing so it doesn\'t lock (see closeup). I/2\" long shrinkage split on bottom and a small defect on the front lower right. Box was cleaned, and finished with MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-buffed to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind item that any collector would prize.
