Up for offers is thisAntique Late 19thC Japanese Satsuma Miniature 2 7/8\" Floral Vase ~ Signed. Measuring 2 7/8\" high x 1 3/8\" wide. The vase dates to the late 19thC Meiji period. This beautiful six sided cylinder shaped vase is beautifully hand painted with polychrome enamels and gold gilt. The vase is decorated with finely painted intricate details featuring tastefully colored panels of flowers against a landscape rock, grass and river scene. There is a black 1/4\" gold gilt decorated band around the top edge.
The vase is signed on the underside.
Condition is very good. There are some tiny flea bites to the top rim and minor wear. Under magnification I was able to see the fine crackle glaze Satsuma is easily recognized for.
