A pouch from the 2nd South Middlesex Rifle Volunteers which were created in 1859 by Thomas Jones, 7th viscount Raneleigh from members of his Yacht club !

They were raised to counter the threat from Napoleon 3rd.

The leather is old and hard with stitching gone in a couple of areas but you do not often even SEE leather items of this vintage for sale as most have given-up the ghost by now

Would likely respond well to a dose of \"Saddle Soap\" & then \"Leather Balsam\" and I can recommend a NZ supplier who does free postage on these SUPERB products
