This littlethimble holder is covered withleather with brass mounts.It is lined with the originalpurplevelvet and opens with a push button clasp.Thehinge is original and strong and theclasp snaps closed perfectly. The condition is excellent with no damageor loss

Insideis a sterling silver thimble with a double band and shell knurling. Ithas the English hallmarks for Chester 1894 and was made by CharlesHorner for William Harrison Walter, a London jeweler. The band also hasHorner\'s 1893 registration number for the shell pattern (Rd 210799).It\'s about an American size 6(14.2 mm diameter opening). The rim has some small shallow dents butit\'s in overall nice condition withno holes or repairs. The casemeasures about 1 3/8\" x 1\".
