This is a fabulous older Limoges France piece. Made for Wm Guerin, the mark indicates that it was made between 1891 and 1932. The piece presents in excellent condition, with no flaws or defects to the naked eye. Despite its great age, I observe no crazing. The pattern is a very pretty small floral with a gold trim resembling the Greek key. There is a garland of small pink roses all the way around the lid and top of the tureen. Along with the floral, there is the gold key design I referred to earlier, on both pieces. The handles and the lid, both have a very pretty gold design around them. Also, there is a gold line around the bottom pedestal, and top of the tureen. The piece weighs just about 3 pounds, and measures almost 14 in from handle to handle. The bowl opening measures 10 and a 1/2 in by 8 and a 1/4 in, and piece stands 10 in tall with the lid on. This is a special piece, it has a sense of style and sophistication all it\'s own. The old world look of the tureen is quite beautiful, as it will display with character and class.
