This fabulous, wood lined, copper box is very old. It was hand hammered and tooled. It bears the initials \"MLD\" or \"MBD\" or \"MID\" to the top. I don\'t believe that it is signed, although there is an area to the base that has darkened and has some scratches or possible etch lines beneath the darkened patina. There is a bit of greening to the copper. The one of the 3 hinge attachments on the back has detached and will need to be soldered. There are solder marks near hinge. The seams to copper box are separated slightly. It is still quite sturdy. It measures approximately 5\"Wx4\"Dx1.5\"H. It is a very unusual, unique, collector\'s item!!!!
