Thisis a Rare Antique Jardiniere Majolica Planter Pot, with a generic base. Bothpieces seem to be made of a yellow ware pottery, although the planter’s potteryis darker than the Un-matching base. The unmarked planter has shades of Brown& Green, and measures 6 ½” tall x 8 ¼” wide at the mouth x 5” wide at thebase. It has a small drainage hole in the bottom. There are no cracks or chipsI can see. The pot has 2 seems on the sides, and these are not cracks you see in the pictures! The base has a brown glaze along the sides & rim, a light yellowglaze inside, and a raw unglazed yellow at the top. There is a 2 letter makerslogo impressed into the top that looks like “C-P” (???). The base measures 12”tall x 9” wide at the open end, and 6 ¼” wide at the top or closed end.Although the top of the stand & bottom of the planter do not exactly match,I’m selling them together anyway. Both pieces appear to be in great condition,with onlyminorwear to the pot. The pot\'s inside needs to be cleaned slightly, as it was actually used to keep a plant in.
