A rare and beautiful cameo of Medusa with snakes in her hair, dating to the late 1800s. I purchased her in London several years ago for $1400 without her brooch mount with the intention of having a solid gold one made with a snake around the rim, but never did. I also considered framing her and hanging her on the wall like a portrait miniature.

She is in fine condition with no cracks and only the suggestion of a natural inclusion to the rear rim. She measures 1 9/16\" tall by 1 5/16\" wide
