You are looking at a really interesting and well made Antique decoy--the bird is signed MRK OR MBK in a most fashionable way--don\'t know if that is the maker or the owners initials...
The bird has great appeal but as you may have noticed in the pictures--the bill has some damage to it--and though it is repairable--the damage will still be there when you get it home. The head and the comb is very well done and it appears to be a repaint several time s during its 100 plus year life span.
I am starting this low andwill let the market figure out the price for it...I took it in partial trade for a wonderful bronze I had in my shop--and the guy swore it belongs to his grandfather--adn like me he was in his 70\'s---for what that is worth--who knows???LOL
