This is for a nice old Victorian travelling inkwell in the form of a Rugby Rock or Football. It has its original brown leather cover which has the stitched leather detailing on the top. The hinged lid is released by the concealed button at the front and inside is a lever that opens the inner lid to reveal the glass bottle inside. The underside of the inner lid has a spring stopper that seals the bottle whilst in transit. The inkwell is in fair condition with no dents to the metal, some damage to the leather and no chips or cracks to the glass. There is missing leather on the front of the ball nearest to the opening consistent with use.It measures 55mm long and 44mm deep and 40mm high.
