This extraordinary Victorian exotic decorative folly dates from the late 1800s and is crafted of solid oak with all original varnish. The piece measures 9” across the finials and features carved leaves in the gothic manner forming an exotic pronged orb. There is a snapped dowel on the base, so I assume it was a decorative finial/newel/novelty, but can’t be sure.
