Antique vintage coiled grass basket with lid in the style of Alaskan Eskimo Inuit Yu\'pik native peoples. Design is woven through with red & faded white cream yarn in a floral stem & flower design. This is an old basket with an aged patina and condition that appears to be circa 1900\'s to early 1930\'s. Great condition for age with a tight fitting lid. Coils are small and tightly woven.

Body: round spherical shape with a flat bottom and flat lid with nob top.
Design: Red & faded white cream cotton yarn woven on sides in a floral stem & flower motif
Measurements:8 1/2\" high (from bottom to top of nob lid) x 9 1/4\" wide; opening is 5 1/4\" wide
Finely woven grass in a coiled technique.Coils are small and tightly woven.
Colors: natural golden brown with an aged patina, yarn is dark red with some threads in white cream color.
Condition appears to be circa 1900\'s to 1920\'s
Very good-to-great vintage condition in relation to age. Yarn floral design is worn, some wear to edges of lid, at opening and bottom of basket from use. Delicate yarn design is mostly intact making this a very pretty piece. Please see photos for reference.
