Antique Teetotum Gambling Spinning Top

Often madeby Napoleonic prioners of war this is a superearly 19th centurytwelve sided ox bone spinning top.

Length62 mm, drum diameter 35 mm.

The faces of the drum are numbered one to twelve. They are hand alternately painted in red andblackeach number with various red black and gold highlights.

The central drum has painted decoration top and bottom.

Some wear to the painted numbers, particularly number twelve but all perfectly legible and in good used condition.

Turned top and bottom pegs.

Fine early 19th century example ingoodcondition.
