This antique brass piece still works although for the full horn sound (that can be heard all over the neighborhood), the plunger gasket/diaphragm could be replaced. This is missing the original leather strap that would have been used to sling over the sailor\'s shoulder; the brass brackets are intact however. It\'s a fantastic conversation piece of maritime history to say the least!
