Very good antique condition, color vibrant, wool excellent, buttons excellent- (still has spare button sewn inside). Small spot of repair in one shoulder and visible wear and repair to the edge of one cuff. Overall, amazing condition for its age!

An incredible coat. From the estate of a man who had it in his possession since the 1940\'s, but never wore it. His daughter- now 70- says that he told her it was a German Navy overcoat from WWI. The wool, the grade of incredible construction, the stitching used, and the inside fabric are absolutely from the early 1900\'s-1930\'s. All the original buttons are present and in very good condition. Even the extra button is still seen inside, near the bottom. They feature a coat of arms with one lion inside and one lion above the shield. There is an inscription written under the cost of arms, I believe in Latin, but I can\'t quite read all the letters and can\'t translate from Latin anyway.

There is no size label, no makers label. No sign of their ever being one. But I took careful measurements, and the coat is closest to a 38R. It borderlines on a 38 Long.

It is EXTREMELY thick. This grade of garment is simply not made anymore, anywhere. I sell the best coats the world produces, from time to time. Brands that cost thousands of dollars a garment. And I have not seen the equal to this coat. I wish it was my size. If it was, I\'d never part with it, like the last man who owned it, who kept it for 69 years.

It has a small repair spot to one shoulder, shown in the photograph gallery. And one cuff shows wear that has been repaired. Overall, however, the garment is in INCREDIBLE condition given its age. The color is still dark and unfaded and regal, the buttons still shine, the seams are tight and it feels incredible when you slide it on.
