We are offering an early primitive splint basket. The basket has a small band of faint red dyedsplint near the top of the rim and a notched handle. The square bottom and round top give thisbasket a very unique look. This would bea very beautiful and functional basket for your antique basket collection.

The basket is in as found condition and has been in mypersonal collection for over 25 years.The weave is broken at a few places on the side of the basket. The base has some discoloration and a pencilmark 60 R.

The basket measures approximately 8 ½” diameter x 11 ½” tallto the top of the handle.
