Imagine this is carved from ONE PIECE of solid heavy wood! There are all kinds of decorative symbolic striations and carvings and perhaps, there was paint applied but it has now faded pretty much. There are two \'burn\' marks creating \"eyes\"?

This is a heavy solid piece and weighs approx. 1.5 lbs and measures approx. 14\" x 6.5\". Heavy for it\'s size!!

I feel the condition is WONDERFUL considering time, weather and usage/handling. There are very minor wood chips off the tips of the crab\'s legs and some minor weather related wood splits but all in all a very fine AND RAREpiece of Tribal Art from the Trobriand Islands in the Solomon Seas.
