Antique Original Cast Iron Cat & Mouse Mechanical Bank
An antique cast iron mechanical bank in working condition. The top of the bank rotates, featuring either a mouse or a mouse balanced on top of a cat. The bank is set by rotating the mouse to the top, then placing a coin on top. A small lever lower center is pressed and the cat and mouse spins to the top, flipping the coin into the bank below. This is an original bank, not a reproduction. The reproductions are common but originals in complete working condition are very rare. Unfortunately, we are missing the coin access door ( about the size of a 50 cent piece and most of the original paint. which is shown in the pictures. This bank is otherwise completely intact with no repairs, cracks, or breaks. The fading and discoloring of the existing paint, as well as the natural browning of the bare iron, demonstrate the age of this bank. There are no manufacturer\'s marks visible. The dimensions are 3\" deep, 11.5\" tall and 5.5\" wide.Thanks for looking!
