ANTIQUE ORNATE L-SHAPE ROLLED GOLD EBONY HANDLE/KNOB: WALKING/HIKING STICK/CANE:

This is a long wood walking/hiking stick with an ornately designed rolled gold L-shaped handle/knob on a ebony shaft & dating from the early 1900s. In addition to the ornate repousse decorations there is an empty cartouche on either side of the horizontal handle. The rolled gold knob/handle is 3 inches wide & 2 inches top to bottom while the gold handle/knob plus ebony shaft is4inches long. The hardwood birch walking stick (which is a replacement & not original) plus the knob/handle/ebony shaft is 43 inches long, 5/8 inches in diameter and about 1 3/4 inches in circumference and is capped with a black rubber tip. The sticks color is medium brown and there is a medium gloss finish. The stick is fairly sturdy and does not bend easily – thus it can be used with care by a large/heavy/tall person or in the rugged back-country. There are some areas of indentations in the cartouches & the tip of the handle...my low opening price reflects these minor defects.
