This is an antique Ottoman Islamic,cotton and sim, textile wall hanging. The design of Islamic symbols and calligraphy iscreated usingmetallic embroidered threads onto a cotton backing. The threads are a combination of metallic reds, blue, gold, brown. Measurements: 910mm (3ft) x 445mm (17.5\"). Overall in very good age-related condition. There is a small hole in the cotton border (photo 7). Some slight discolouration to cotton background. Colours still quite rich and vibrant. A fine example of an Ottoman textile.
