A Ottoman bichaq is a knife with linesand shapes similar to the Yatagan but of much smaller dimensions .
This one has a beautiful chased silver scabbard depicting amongst others a ship and a building . The scabbard ends in a fish head .
The knife itself has a silver grip .
Total length : 29,5 centimeters ( 11.6 inches )
This bichaq was made at the end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century
Some wear to the silver part of the scabbard were the blade enters into the scabbard .
