DESCRIPTION

Original and authenticated 1920\'s Art Deco Frankart Nude Female Bookends, Unsigned. Bookends feature a nude lady in a sitting down position with legs underneath and arms resting back. Hair is roaring 20\'s flapper style, body is completely nude and anatomically precise.Beautifully cast, intricately detailed, book endsare original including the dark bronze color finish. These bookends are among the very few that have no Frankart markings, however the age and fine quality is undeniably Frankart. Estate listed these as \"Original and Authenticated, unsigned Frankart Nude Book Ends c. 1925\".

buyers, PLEASE NOTE: Today we received an email from another member stating these bookends are titled \"The Kneeling Nude\" cast in 1933 and made of spelter with bronze finish. If this information is accurate, the estate antiques dealer whom we purchased the bookends, is incorrect. Since we are not experts in every category of antiques, we rely heavily on the expertise of those most familiar with the piece they sell. These bookends are exceptional in quality however, they may not be Frankart.
