For offer is an original, antique PERSIAN two-piece SILVER BUCKLE with a PESHKABZ knife-shaped latch-holder. This wonderful, silver buckle has a lovely hand-carved, swirling design at the center of one of the buckle’s halves. The buckles meet at the center and the dagger slides through the center loop to hold the buckle together. The pesh-kabz dagger is attached with a small chain. This was probably a souvenir item sold to Europeans visiting Persia long ago. The silver is tarnished and dark in areas. This is a terrific piece of antique silver from the Middle East region. Please see images. When latched, the buckle measures 2 ¾ inches long. This is a neat, heavy silver buckle from the Arabia area of the world. Buckle weighs 40.4 grams on my home scale.
