Up for sale is a lovely pair of antique 19th century R. BRIGGS & Co Boston ROUEN plates. It\'s decorated with hand painted pink roses and little blue forget-me-nots. The scalloped rim is trimmed with gold and the border is embossed. As in the photos, the underneath rim of the plates has some nicks. All except from one are not visible from the front side of the plate--the one that is, barely is. There\'s some gold loss to the rims. I purchased these at an estate sale and am uncertain of their exact age but believe them to be 1800s. The are marked on the back with numbers.
