This antique Masonic jewel dates circa 1858 and is expertly crafted with an eye catching detailed design! The compass and quadrant emblem is intricately designed with engraved detailing and a sun face hangs in their center. The sterling silver sun has a yellow gold tone allowing for a bold display! One side of the medal is engraved Presented June 16th 1858, while the other is inscribed Presented to P. M. J. W. Hudswell as a token of respect for services rendered as Secy for a number of years to Laf** Lodge 64. This piece does have some patina and light wear as can be expected with a piece of this age. A large bail is set at the top but has a very narrow opening. While not stamped, this piece has been professionally tested for it\'s sterling silver composition.
This badge weighs 39.2 grams. The piece measures 5\" long and 4 1/4\" wide.
