Antique Peerless Cast Iron Victorian Parlor Gas FirePlace Stove art nouveau:

This is an antique Peerless gas stove that was never removed from the fireplace in my home until I unhooked it last week. A previous owner had the gas line cut and capped in the basement and left it as an ornamental feature. It is in quite remarkable condition as a result. I\'d imagine it even still works, but the gas company employee who we had over said that it would have to be reconditioned if we were to use it.
Our home was built in 1910, I\'m not sure if this is the original gas heater installed in the home. It is very sturdy, please verify condition through the photos. I don\'t know a thing about these but I did some research and typically these are not in condition this good. I\'ve been told we live in a home that was built for a lower-level Kodak Executive.
I have not cleaned it up at all (not even dusted), you\'re seeing it the exact condition from when I unhooked the gas pipe and removed it from the fireplace. I am a collector but I collect robots not antiques, so as I don\'t know how to care for it I\'m not going to goof around with it trying to make it look nicer.
It is quite heavy, I haven\'t dead lifted it, but it seems to weigh between 100-120 pounds by my estimate. It\'s probably mostly iron but I\'m not sure about the gold metal. I\'d suggest local pickup, I live in Rochester, NY.
