ANTIQUE PENDULUM WEIGHTED COUNTER BALANCE CHRISTMAS TREE CANDLE HOLDERS CANDLES:

We are selling some of our own collections this year. This is a collection of antique pendulum weighted candle holders which were used on feather trees and regular Christmas trees. We believe they were made sometime before the turn of the last century..anywhere from 1860-1890. These are original pieces and not reproductions.

All the pieces have stamped tin candle holder tops and wires holding a clay ball on the bottom to keep the candles upright when put on the tree. The clay balls were painted and hung down to create the illusion of an ornament. It’s a very clever design.

One set of 7 have 4 prong holders and are 5 3/4 inches long. Two of them are missing one prong.

There is another set of 2 with a sleeve type holder. These are 5 1/2 inches long and have a red clay ball and a blue clay ball.

The clay balls have some paint loss and little nicks, etc. commensurate with age.

The red and blue clay balls have more damage but they can be adjusted so it doesn’t show too much.

The candles are newer and purchased from a Swedish store about 10-15 years ago. They have never been burned.
