Description: 19th Century Photo Album. Tiffin and Fostoria, Ohio: 1860s-1880s. 5 5/8\" x 4 1/4\". Full brown morocco album decorated in blind, with brass clasp. 20 leaves, all but one with an item (39 total) inserted to each side, more particularly described below.

A lovely album of 29 cartes-de-viste, 7 tin types, a greeting card and 2 commercial CDVs. The album descended through a family that originally settled in Tiffin and Fostoria, Ohio and ended up in Houston, Texas. Approximately 15 of the people are identified on the backs of the photos and the surnames include Ebersole, Howell, Bennet, Skinner, Wilkinson as well as a Civil War photo of a Captain Simon. Photographer\'s imprints include Delaware, Fostoria, Van Wert, Tiffin, and Findlay Ohio as well as Winchester, Indiana.

Condition: Very good album moderately worn at edges, binding shaken but holding, leaves with scattered light foxing/soiling. CDVs, etc. are very good or better.
