ThisAlbum is in very good condition even though it does have tears in the leatherat the top & bottom of its spine and minor scuffing along the edges (seephotos). What makes this even more interesting is that there is a photo ofMajor General George G. Meade in his Union Uniform (see Carte de Visites). Manyof the other CDV were taken in the same general area of Pennsylvania so it ispossible that some of these photos are of his family but I do not know. Thismeasures 8 ⅝” x 10 ¾” x 2 ⅝” thick (1 ⅝” thick inside the covers) – the lowersection of the clasp is missing – but the inside portion of the spine is invery good condition – there is some tearing in the paper at the slots wherephotos have been inserted and removed over the years.
