This is a 4 X 5 1/2 Photo Album originally owned by Kate Louisa Huxtable Stoner (11/27/1837-1/17/1918). Her husband Dr. John Stoner is pictured on pg.3. There are pictures of Lieut. Gen Grant and Maj. Gen Sherman. Some notes written by Sallie Orr French Stoner (who later had possession of the album) identified Miss Nellie A. Smith (pg.8), Miss Nammi Miller (pg.9) and Miss M.J. Rudley (pg.15). The other pictures are unidentified, but meant something to Kate Stoner. Page 19 appears to be a print called \"Just 9 pounds\" and on the back cover is a stamp with a picture of Grover Cleveland. A few pictures are missing from the book, but 17 photos and at least 4 of them are TinType. I acquired the album from my father, Frank Stoner, son of Sallie Stoner, when he passed away.
