antique President George Washington lithograph in ORIGINAL WOODEN FRAME & GLASS :

This lithograph was produced during the 1850\'s-1860\'s and shows George Washington when he was our first President.
Measuring approx. 8\" x 10\" inside matt (15\" x 17\" with frame) this example is still in its original decorative wooden frame and still retains its original hand blown glass front that has seed bubbles in it.

The oval matt board is also original (c.1850\'s-1860\'s) and has a nice gilt border with the title \"GEORGE WASHINGTON\" at bottom.

The wooden frame has an attractive raised floral pattern around border with a gold leaf interior and it has its original wooden shakes held in place with hand forged square nails that have never been removed after 150 years !

Condition: there is some nicks and small chips and some crackling to applied plaster on top of wooden frame; some light water stains on matt board at top and bottom that don\'t effect the engraving which is in fine condition. Overall in very good condition.

Original Civil War era lithographs still retaining their original frames and glass that have never been opened before are extremely rare to find and it would be fitting in any US political related office or for the collector of rare images of our Founding Fathers (NOTE: ready to be hung as soon as you receive it).
