Antique Primitive Wooden Coach Box with Old Red Paint Stencil c. 1870:

Antique wooden divided box with old red paint and stencil with patent dates. The partial lid covers the larger portion of the box and is secured by two forged/wrought iron strap hinges. Metal strips at both sides, an open section and stenciling on both top and side and a variety of nails, including some hand forged square nails.
The front is stenciled \"Patented\" with four dates from 1873 to 1875. The top is also stenciled, including what looks like a logo, it\'s faint but we make out \"Youngstown Ohio\".
There are two round holes one 1 1/2\" and the other 1/2\" in the bottom/back. Lovely old red paint on all surfaces except the unpainted bottom.
Measures: 17 3/8\" L x 5 H x 5 1/2\" W
