A rare German unmarked porcelain figural pipe bowl, which I believe dates from the 18th century. It is a well modeled and finely painted head of a handsome mustached man on a square base. Grey hair with ear braids and pig- or ponytail (missing). He wears an odd, probably military, hat. A checkered scarf around the neck.
All four corners of the hat are chipped. The upper rim is chipped and discolored. General wear to the painted areas, the base and stem.
