Up for sale is aAntique RARE 66 String Hammered Dulcimer Late 1700\'s Early 1800\'s Hand Made.The measurements are 22 1/4\" long at the top, 43 1/4\" long, 15\" wide and 3\" thick. It is 66 string but only has 42 still intact. The face has two Hearts cut out, one on each side. The nails used to construct it are square head nails. All of the Bass Tuning Pins (which are the metal spikes) are intact. The Hitch Pins are (square head nails) are intact as well. There are 66 tuning pins and 33 hitch pins. It has one bridge in the center which needs to be replaced. It also has some kind of slider which has 8 holes with the string running through it.On the back of the instrument you can see the knots in the wood. There are two cracks on the back. It was at one point painted black, which is mostly worn off. There is scratches and chipping on the body. Please keep in mind that this instrument is over 200 years old.
