THIS TAPE\'S MEASUREMENT INCREMENTS ARE IN

European \"Ell.\" The Ell unit ofmeasurement was no longer in use past the late 1800\'s.

The measurement is from elbow to finger tip(like a cubit). This special antique is truly a rare specimen that one does notsee every day.

THIS WAS USED PRIOR TO INCHES. TAPE ISIN EXCELLENT CONDITION!

THE BOX ITSELF I BELIEVE IS A FIGURALREPRESENTATION OF A HURDY GIRDY, A BOX THAT A MONKEY WOULD DANCE&COLLECT COINSAS THE MAN WOUND THE MUSIC BOX. (THIS NEVER PLAYED MUSICBUT THE MONKEY SHOWN IN THE PICTURES IS INCLUDED.)
