Clear, sharp view.Dr.W.Gerard rifle scopes were produced in Germany prior to World War I for use on hunting and sporting rifles.With the onset of the war, Gerard scopes, along with many other previously manufactured sporting & hunting rifle scopes, were adapted by the German Army for use on their Scharfschutzen-Gewehr 98 Sniping Rifles. All Gerard scopes are scarce in the USA.Reticle German #1 Claw mounts was previously removed, so you can use on any rifle with different mounts. Please use my other items and where you can find mounts for scope with tube 22 mm.
