This listing is foran Antique Red Wing Potteries 4-Gallon Butter Churn Crock with Lid and PaddlePlunger. The crock base of the butterchurn measures 9.5” in diameter at its base and stands 15.75” high. It has a blue “4”, a small red wing and “RedWing Potteries, Inc. Red Wing, Minn.” in blue on its front. It is in very good condition with no chips orcracks visible from the outside of the base (see picture of a hairline crackvisible from inside the crock). Also seethe picture of a mold crack on the back top rim of the crock that looks like itwas glazed over when it was produced. Thestoneware lid measures 8” in diameter and has “3 & 4” incised on it with nocracks; it has a small flake chip on the raised rim under the “3 & 4”. The wooden plunger-type paddle is over 40”long, has a small piece of wood missing on its end and could use a goodcleaning. Local pick up in ColoradoSprings, CO only.
