Rare Unger Bros 14K gold curb link bracelet with a heart padlock clasp. The padlock has a heavily embossed design on the front and back. It measures 3/4\" x 5/8\". The key measures 5/8\" long. It is in good working order and opens the heart clasp. The hollow curb link chain measures 7 5/8\" long and just over 1/4\" wide. The front of each link has a heavily embossed scroll design. The back of each link is smooth. There is a short length of safety chain on each end of the bracelet. The pad lock is marked on top with the UB entwined mark of Unger Bros from Newark New Jersey, Unger Bros is known for their sterling silver but in the early years of the company they did make gold jewelry, This piece acid tests as 14K gold. It weighs 8.7 grams. When I purchased this piece the key was attached to the bracelet by a jump ring as shown in the first photo. This was done by the previous owner so the key would not be lost. I removed the key and jump ring so I could take photos and make sure the key does fit and work well which it does. I placed the key back on the jump ring and attached it to the bracelet so I do not lose it! This piece is in excellent condition.
