Offered is an antiquecandle holder or candle stickmeasuring 5 3/4\" tall with a 2 1/4\" top diameter(7/8\" opening for candle), and a3 1/2\" span frombase scallop to scallop. Thecandle holderflutesdown under the top to three large scallops which are reticulated (3 holes per scallop). The waist of thecandle stickis painted with a beautiful pink primrose with pink buds that float around to the back, and soft green foliage that contrasts with brown twigs and darkbrown points on the rose center. The background colors on the holder merge from pale green to soft yellow and soft blue. The reticulated holes are trimmed in gold and there is a hint of gold trim on the softly scalloped top. Inside one of thebase scallops lies the green Rosenthal trademark which indicates this candle holder was produced between 1891 and 1906. Just an exquisite piece.There are no chips, cracks or crazing on this candle holder. There isa little wear to the gold in one or two spots on the top rim. Thebase scalloped rim shows a little wear and there isa tiny wear or manufacturing dot as well...
