Here we have a very attractive, high quality antique figurine by the renowned English factory, Royal Worcester. ,The figurine \"Captivity\" was designed as one of a pair - Captivity and Liberty - by the highly collected designer, James Hadley.This figurine dates from 1909 and the model number is 116. It portrays a beautiful, classical woman with a dove in her hand. The figure has ivory coloured flesh and the robes, birds and plinth are all gilded.The figurine is 9 3/4 in. and the round base has a diameter of 2 3/4 in. It is fully marked on the base with the Royal Worcester backstamp and model number and impressed date numbers 09. It weighs 286g and is in excellent condition with just very minor rubbing to the gilding. This is a beautiful display item that would enhance any interior. The figure has ivory coloured flesh and the robes, birds and plinth are all gilded creating an opulent, highly decorative effect.The figurine stands 9 3/4 inches high and the round base has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. It is fully marked on the base with the Royal Worcester backstamp and model number and the impressed date numbers 09.
