Antique Russia Russian Imperial Silver Tea Spoon Ovchinnikov Kokoshnik 84:

Up for saleis an antique Russian Imperial Silver Teaspoon. It was manufactured in Russia sometime between 1896 and 1908 during the first kokoshnik period one can tell from the marks (pls see female head facing to the left with number 84 a silver standard) by Ovchinnikov (pls see mark stamped), probably Mikhail Pavlovich Ovchinnikov. Also, above the manufacturer’s name appears the Imperial Double-headed Eagle mark (the Coat of Arms of Russia). The front side of the spoon has engraved designed letter “O” for Ovchinnikov, who was the official suppliers of gold and silver items to the Imperial Court since the days of Mikhail Pavlovich Ovchinnikov’s father (mid 19-th century).

The Spoon is in Very Good condition for to its age but has had long use, there are signs of wear and plenty of small scratches.

Spoon’s bowl: 4 cm / 1.6” x 2.5 cm / 1”

Weight: 18.6 gr.
